    Posey Pops

This quilt is coming along nicely. Lots of half-square triangles though. 340 of them!! But they are all done and trimmed so now all I have to do is put 19 blocks together. You can see that my desk is a mess in the background – I haven’t cleaned it up in a while and things just keep getting piled up on there. I have a small area cleared out for cutting and that is about it… lol – the typical life of a quilter – too much stuff, not enough space!

    Fleur-de-lis Flourish

This quilt was one of my first appliqued quilts. I still really do not like applique (machine or hand), but the way my friend Jo-Anne taught me, makes it a little bearable by hand. Being in Hawaii influenced my quilting style, as did being around my quilt bee group, the Sassy S&B (stitch and bitch) Quilters. I probably would have never tried this quilt without the support of those ladies, especially Jo-Anne – thank…

    Lucky Stars

For throwback Thursday, I am sharing a quilt that I made about 19 years ago. It is the setting of one of my most favorite photos of my daughter when she was a baby. The fabrics are various Moda Marbles in pastels. I was part of an online quilting group. We had a birthday FQ exchange where we sent a FQ of the person’s choice. I didn’t know if I was having a boy or a girl but something told me that I wanted to use these fabrics for a baby quilt. The pattern is Lucky Stars by Atkinson Designs. A good friend of mine quilted it for me as…
